The Womb. I have been using 3D modeling since 1991. Educated in fine art sculpture, I have always been interested in the idea of making synthetic tools in the virtual communicate soul in the physical. The Womb was made from a CT of an abdomen and then re-configured using digital sculpting. The resultant piece was rapid prototyped in cornstarch and then cast in bronze. This was an exploration of digital to traditional as well as an experiment. A birthing of a new and old process.
